Objects and aims of Shilpi Sansthan |
(A) To protect extinguishing hand block textile printing
technique.
(1) To encourage and to inspire and honour the proficient
artisans.
(2) To train new ventures and semi skilled artisans through
training program by proper techniques
.
(3) To publicize and promote the art through papers, magazines,
audio-visual
medias at national and inter-national levels.
(4) To provide technologies through exchanges and organizing
exhibitions, seminars, workshops etc.
(5) To publicize the relevant art magazines, books, publication
of books, papers and their distribution and running of
libraries.
(6) To harass the pollution developing printing industries and
to inspire them to use natural colours instead of chemical
colours.
(7) To prevent traditional designs, techniques and to attach
them again to process in the field of textile printing
processing and calendaring etc.
(8) To enhance and promote the export of hand block printing
technique through vegetables dyes and dyed products.
(9) To provide fashions, designs and techniques through latest
mediums to artisans in the world market.
(10) To examine and test the samples of traditional textiles,
designs and printing .To identify, investigate and to seek for
probablities of colours for the same.
(11) To solve the problems of artisans in respect of their
payments through proper channels.
(12) To provide information to artisans in respect of colours,
gray textile, block manufacturing etc.
(13) To help in registrations of units and to help them in
availing finance.
(B) Activities towards implementing “SHILP GRAM”
(1) To purchase land and to avail subsidy from government.
(2) Arrangement of water supply.
(3) Arrangement of electric supply
(4) Construction of rampart.
(5) Arrangement of sewerage
(6) Accomplishment and construction of the centre for group
activities.
(7) Completion of other facilities like- bank, hospital,
communication centre
etc.
(8) To allot lands to units.
(9) Construction of collective sale centre.
(10) Construction of assembly centre.
(11) To develop resources of entertainments.
(12) Activities to attract tourists.
(13) To integrate the facilities of transportations.
(14) Construction of museum.
(15) Pollution control and effluent treatment plant.
(16) Construction of stage for fashion shows and cultural
activities.
(17) Construction of laboratory for development, testing and
research work.
(18) Construction of training center.
(19) Library construction.
(20) Construction of printing press.
(C) To avail help to accomplish the aims and objects of the
Institute from government, semi- government and other local
bodies.
(1) To allot land at the bank of river for “SHILP-GRAM” from
Rajasthan and Central government.
(2) To avail cooperation and co-ordination from UNIDO
.
(3) To procure help from Development commissioner (Handicrafts
&Textiles) and handlooms.
(4) To acquire technical cooperation from ‘Bunker Seva Kendra’,
National Handloom Development Corporation, Regional Design and
Technical Development Centre ,Design Development and Research
Centre ,National Hand block Printing Institute.
(5)To avail know how about fashion and design from National
Institute for fashion Technology, National Institute for Design
and from other Institutes.
(6)To procure financial aids from Rajasthan Finance Corporation,
Small Industries Development Bank of India, Nationalized Banks,
NABARD and other International Financial Institutes.
(7) To avail marketing facilities from Rajasthan Small
Industries Cooperation; Central Cottage Industries Corporation,
Handicrafts and Handlooms Export Corporation and through other
mediums.
(D) The History of SHILPI SANSTHAN
It is acquainted with by the name ‘SHILPI’ that this institute
is dedicated in the field of handicraft.
National Award winner Mr. Brij B. Udiawal realized that there is
no institute for handicraft at national level. Therefore he
founded an institute in the year 1991 at Sanganer in “Pink City
Jaipur” for the same, which was named “SHILPI”
In the infantry state SHILPI started its functioning by
integrating small artisans and promoted vegetable colours in
hand block printing upon textiles. SHILPI researched new venues
for development so that hand block printing clusters of the
industries could find new dimensions at national and
international standards.
This institute is working day and night in the faculty of
handicrafts wide over the country.
It has contributed technical knowledge and assistance and has
engraved a valued impression in handicrafts during its last
years functioning. It keeps and esteemed place in handicrafts.
Till now , this institute has developed 10,000 new and old
traditional patterns of textile hand block printing by natural
dyes and has brought millions USD foreign revenue to the
country.
This institute is has provided various technical training to the
trainees.
This institute is the exclusive and unique one for the
handicrafts in India where the cited techniques and other
facilities are provided to artisans, especially for dying and
printing of textiles.
SHILPI is just providing its assistance discretely and technical
know how’s with no desire of gaining profits. |
